Holistic therapies in a garden treatment room. Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.
Live October 2026Nicola Lazarou, Nicky to her clients, runs Rainbow Holistics from Nicky’s Wellness Retreat, a garden treatment room at her home in Ashton-in-Makerfield. She offers massage, hot stones, facials, reiki and lymphatic drainage, and takes pamper parties, taster days and care home visits out to people across Wigan and St Helens. Her daughter Gemma works alongside her.
She had no website. Her Google profile was unverified and still listed an old address in St Helens and an old phone number, so anyone who found her on Google was being sent to the wrong place. She wanted somewhere that showed what each treatment is and what it costs, and that made a first visit to someone’s home feel safe.
Home, Treatments, Events, About, Reviews, Your visit and Contact, plus privacy, thank-you and 404 pages. All 22 of her treatments are on the Treatments page with their times and prices, taken line by line from her printed price list, and the descriptions are hers too. The About page is her own letter, trimmed rather than rewritten, with a section in Gemma’s words.
Two pages do jobs a salon site usually leaves out. Your visit is the one link she sends with every booking: her aftercare guidelines, her health and safety note, and the deposit policy she needed after a few no-shows. Events gives care homes and workplaces a route of their own, because until now those bookings only ever came to her by word of mouth.
Enquiries post from a plain HTML form to a Cloudflare Worker and on to n8n, and land in the inbox she already checks. A phone number is enough to send one, because most of her clients would rather be texted than emailed.
Everything comes off her logo: a pastel rainbow with a heart, on a sage badge. Its four bands are drawn as an arched window onto photos of the room, and each section of the site takes one of the rainbow’s colours in turn before the page closes on the heart.
Corben for headings, a soft rounded serif, and Nunito Sans for reading. The gift voucher section is her printed voucher card redrawn on the page, using the watercolour leaves from the card itself. The photography is all hers: the garden room at sunset, the stones and candles, and Nicky at her door.
#A0B5A2Sage#DB9097Rose#A1CACCDuck egg#8C4936HeartWe registered the domain in her name, set up [email protected] to forward to her inbox, and put the site live with Search Console verified and the sitemap read the same day.
The Google profile was the other half of the job. It’s her home, so the listing now shows her street but not her house number, with the map pin on the road rather than her front door. The old St Helens address and phone number are gone, the category is now Massage therapist, and a full set of her own photos went up on it.
It’s a build on our Care plan rather than an SEO campaign, so from here the job is keeping it hosted and secure, and making her changes as her prices, events and offers change.
